How Many Birth Do I Need to Attend?
For your certification, you need to attend 3 births. These can be homebirth, hospital, birth center, C-section, or VBAC. We count all student work towards certification.
Is the Certification All Online? Do I need to Attend at Certain Times?
Yes, it is all online, and we have an extension student resource center to assist you. We also have live sessions you can attend if you want, we cover specific topics, but none of these are mandatory and we put the recordings up in the student resource center if you want to check them out later.
Does My Certification Expire?
Simple answer: No, it does not.
If you are working in an insurance, hospital, or state Medicaid program, you may need to re-certify to remain compliant with them. We have a process to assist you in remaining up to date with your payer.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We do not charge extra or hidden fees.
What Our Graduates Have to Say!
The Birth Arts International Doula Certification has given me everything I need to start my business as a doula. Every single birth I attended for my certification taught me something valuable. I feel that now, as I continue to take clients, I have the experience I need to handle various situations (even though I know I’ll always be learning at every birth, I feel more confident and credible).
This program covered all the bases we need to be successful and confident. I’m extremely happy I chose this course, and I’m also extremely happy that now I’m certified for life, and I don’t have to pay fees to keep my standing as a certified doula. In addition, I also love that within Birth Arts; there are SO many opportunities for continuing education.
